Commissioner Shaw is a retired Pulmonary Critical Care Doctor who served in private practice as well as taught at ECU and Pitt Community College.
He volunteered his time serving many community organizations over the years, including the City of Greenville’s Environmental Advisory Commission.
He grew up in Atlanta and has lived in Greenville for the past 44 years. He has been married to his wife, Jon, for 51 years. They have four adult children. Dr. Shaw earned both his Bachelor’s and Doctor of Medicine at Duke University.
