A customer recently shared a heartfelt shoutout on social media for this water crew after they showed a little extra kindness to her dog, Betty. She wrote, “They were fixing a valve next door, and Betty started barking the second we walked out. The crew shut off their excavator so she could go to the bathroom without getting stressed. They couldn’t have been more patient and kind. You’ve gotta love having good people in our community.” 2 days 19 hours ago Do you use a space heater? Back in July, our two new Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) cryogenic storage tanks found their new home at our LNG Plant. In the cold and rainy early hours of December 2nd, our staff commissioned both new tanks, just in time for the winter heating months! ✅ Commissioning of the tanks involved testing the various plant processes, including vaporizing (turning the liquified gas from the new tanks back into vapor), and then odorizing (because LNG does not have an odor). The LNG Plant expansion is designed to ensure customers receive natural gas service at the lowest reasonable cost. Adding these two tanks to GUC’s LNG storage will dramatically reduce the likelihood that GUC will be forced to purchase natural gas at an extremely high cost during times of high demand. ➡️ To learn more about how LNG works, take a virtual tour of the LNG Facility at https://www.guc.com/tours. 4 days 13 hours ago Thanks to the generous help of our customers, we partner with the Pitt County, NC Department of Social Services to provide heating assistance to low-income families during winter months through our Neighbor to Neighbor program. Much of the energy consumed in the kitchen is used for cooking. If you're a gas customer, be sure to adjust your stove burner flame to the size of the pan being used so it does not heat the air around the pan.
