1 day 12 hours ago 🚜💪 Big congratulations to our GUC Water Resources team and other teams from Eastern NC for showing off their skills at the Eastern Water & Wastewater Network Backhoe Rodeo in Tarboro this morning! 🏆 Chaz Hathaway took home 1st place in the Pipe Walk and earned 2nd place in both the Building Blocks and Pick & Roll events. 🥈 Mike Silverthorne also made us proud with 2nd place finishes in the Slam Dunk and Pipe Walk events. Mike retires soon after 30 years with GUC, so please help us thank him for his service and dedication! Also representing GUC were Keith Clark, Bennie Pittman, Jason Owens, David McKeel, and Matthew Worthington. With a record-breaking 28 competitors this year, every team stood out with precision, power, and professionalism. 👷♂️💥 Backhoe rodeos are no ordinary competition. They helped the driver pull over, called 911, and used a fire extinguisher from their GUC truck to put out the flames.
