Don’t let your neighbors be left out in the cold this winter. Join Greenville Utilities in supporting those in need. Our Neighbor to Neighbor Assistance Program provides funds to help pay heating bills through voluntary donations by our generous customers. GUC will provide matching funds up to $10,000 each year. The Pitt County Department of Social Services screens applicants, determines who qualifies and distributes the funds during the winter heating season, November through March.
The program has continued to grow since it began in 2001. We anticipate we will have provided over $100,000 in assistance by the end of the 2005-2006 heating season.
