Notice of Public Hearing
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that the Greenville Utilities Commission will hold a public hearing on the 28th day of July 2008 at 5:30 PM, in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, 200 West Fifth Street, in order to consider an adjustment to retail electric rates.
Greenville Utilities will be receiving a 14% wholesale electric rate increase from the North Carolina Eastern Municipal Power Agency effective August 1, 2008. The Board will also be considering an amendment to the energy rider language in the electric utility rate schedules to recover system line losses.
Materials concerning the electric rate adjustment are on file at the following locations and are available for public inspection during normal working hours:
1) Greenville Utilities’ Administrative Building, 401 S. Greene Street; 2) Greenville Utilities’ Express Office, 509 SE Greenville Boulevard; 3) City Clerk’s Office, 200 West Fifth Street; and 4) Sheppard Memorial Library, 530 Evans Street.
Persons having interest in this matter and desiring to speak either for or against the proposed adjustments are invited to be present and will be given an opportunity to be heard.
