GUC Board Elects New Officers
July 18, 2006 

J. Bryant Kittrell III, Faye Taylor, and Dr. Louis H. Zincone, Jr., were recently elected officers of the Greenville Utilities Board of Commissioners.       

Mr. Kittrell, of Kittrell & Armstrong, was elected Chair.  He has served on the GUC Board since 1999 and previously held the position of Vice-Chair.             

Ms. Taylor, Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) Director with the Martin County Community Action Agency, was elected Vice-Chair, and has served on the Board since 2001. She previously served as Board Secretary.

Dr. Zincone has served on the Board since 2002 and was elected Secretary. He was the Associate Dean for Academic Programs in the School of Business at East Carolina University prior to his retirement.

Greenville Utilities is owned and operated by the citizens of Greenville, but is governed by an eight-member Board of Commissioners responsible for approving rates, development plans, the annual budget, and setting policy that is carried out by the General Manager/CEO, Ron Elks. Board members serve 3-year terms, with a maximum of two terms. Commission meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Board Room of GUC’s Administrative Building located at 401 South Greene Street.
