The 2006 Hurricane Season officially began on June 1 and will last until November 30. All predictions indicate that we can anticipate a busy season this year. Even though the Greenville area was lucky in 2005, with very little storm activity, we were very well-prepared and would have been able to handle the worst that could have happened. And we’re ready this year too. Our crews are routinely prepared to handle whatever Mother Nature brings our way. GUC’s Emergency Storm Plan is ready to be activated at a moment’s notice.
The best time to get prepared for a storm is before it hits. We urge you to be sure you’re ready at home. The Storm Central section of our website contains helpful tips and suggestions. You’ll also find links to other websites with additional information. We hope this is a useful resource for you. If you know of a link we can add, please call us at 329-2199.
We don’t know what this Hurricane Season will be like, but we know you are counting on us to be ready to assist you when you need us. We’re ready.
