Proposed Water Emergency Management Plan Changes

While GUC has always been able to meet customers' water needs, any water system is potentially vulnerable to events such as drought, major water main breaks, etc. It is essential to be prepared for emergencies that can place unusually high demands on the system.

GUC has a Water Emergency Management Plan in place that designates three stages of water use restrictions ranging from voluntary to mandatory.

To meet new regulations, the plan has been updated. The proposed changes are available for review by clicking here. To request a copy of the proposed plan, customers may call Anthony Whitehead at 252-329-2160.
