NC AWWA Honors Howard Corey

Howard Corey, Engineering Support Manager in GUC’s Water Resources Department, was recently honored by the North Carolina American Water Works Association and Water Environment Association with the 2009 Golden Manhole Award. This award recognizes those individuals who are significant contributors to the advancement of the Systems Design, Education, Training, Certification, Construction, Operations, Maintenance and Management of Water Distribution Systems or Wastewater Collection Systems. Howard has been active for many years in the NC AWWA-WEA, most notably as an Instructor involved in training water and wastewater system workers across North Carolina, and it is fitting that he should receive this award for his long and dedicated service to the NC AWWA-WEA.
