Water Treatment Plant
Since it went into service in 1983, GUC’s Water Treatment Plant (WTP) has provided drinking water that is consistently superior to regulatory standards. The plant was built with an original capacity of 12 million gallons of water per day (MGD).  In 1990, GUC made pump modifications which increased the capacity to 15 MGD. In 2002, the WTP was expanded/upgraded and currently has the capability of treating 22.5 MGD.  The average use is 10 MGD.

We are happy to give tours of the Water Treatment Plant. During 2007, 518 people visited the Plant. Our employees are also available to visit schools, civic groups, and clubs to share information about what we do. Call 551-1562 for more information.
